I am a native of Madison County and a very proud alumni of both Harvest School and Sparkman High School. I went to college on full cheerleading scholarships and graduated from Athens State with a degree in Physical Education. I went on to pursue my Masters in Educational Administration from Jacksonville State University. After receiving my Masters, I followed up with an Education Specialist Degree in Instructional Leadership from the University of West Alabama. This is my 21st year as an educator and my 19th year at Sparkman Middle School. I have taught PE, World History, and Technology Education and have coached Cheerleaders, Softball, and Soccer. I have been married for 21 years to Andy Whitt, also a Sparkman graduate. We have a son, Grant who just graduated from Sparkman High and attends UAH. We also have a daughter, Drew who is 16, attends Sparkman High and is on the Varsity Volleyball Team. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, cooking, reading, volunteering, and watching sports. My heart always has and always will belong to the students, staff, and community of Sparkman.
